On the
church hill St. Stephan were found in 1936 and 1987 remains of roman walls and pieces of pottery fragments
from the 4th century AD.
Furthermore were brought to light 6 coins from the 2nd century and 4th century. In 1987 was found 250 m southeast of the hill a burial place with a tomb chamber of stone with a size from 2.4 to 1.6 to 0.9 meters. 23 skeletons of adults and children were in it. The single jewelry object, a earring of bronze, was from the 4th to the 7th century.
Due to the grave find it could have been more than a question of a place of refuge.
