The Schauenburgfluh is 350 meters
above the Ergolztal.
A Gallo-roman temple was above a steep rock face. It had a podium which was 9 meters broad. The cella was 5.2 to 5.2 meters large.
During the excavation
in the year 1961 were found bricks and only few pieces of pottery.
The 114 coins cover a period from the middle of the 1st century to the second half of the 4th century: 8 from the 1st/2nd
century, 40 from the 4th century.
A corner of the temple and the rock underneath it is broken off today. The cella and the podium are preserved today.
