In the present Nendeln
was built presumably against the end of the 1st century AD a roman farm.
The buildings were altered several times. Last the mansion was 34.4
to 24.6 meters large. In the
middle was a large room. On the valley side was added a porticus. On both sides
were different rooms. Two rooms were on the rear. In a further stage were added
bathrooms with a terrace.
Finally was installed a y-shaped channel heating under a living room.
Two adjoining buildings are also known. One of that served presumably as an economy building, the other one as a residential building.
The villa rustica was used despite of destruction around the year 288 until the 4th century.
The mansion is conserved and accessible. The walls of one adjoining building are marked in the schoolyard.
