Saturday, 05.06.2004 - Chancy, Geneva
In the Bois
des Crevasses south of the present Chancy was a roman farm.
Later was built a fort instead of the villa rustica.
It was built at least in two stages. The second one was under Flavius Valentinianus (AD 364 - 375).
The fort was investigated in the 20ies of the 20th century, but I have no more information about it.
The book "Die Römer
in der Schweiz" (the Roman in Switzerland) mentions the coordinates
