In this place was built in the 1st century AD a villa. It was on a hill at the present Rue des Romaines.
In the
final stage the building had a considerable size. The front was in valley direction.
In front of a Porticus was a water basin.
It was 75.6 meters long and 5.10 meters broad.
The building was inhabited until the 4th century.
Today the hypocaust
of a room is still visible in a shelter. The water basin is also conserved.
