The street Aventicum - Petinesca run between Muntelier and Kallnach at the same place, as the present railway line.
The
roadway was obviously still visible in the case of the railroad building in 1876 and
was used as a basis for the embankment. Anyway this was found out in 1981 at the coordinates 577 920/199 680.
This roadway was approx. 8 meters broad and up to 80 cm high and existed of gravel.
Analyzing the railway line between Muntelier and Kallnach, it is conspicuous that it departs from a straight line around Kerzers. Presumably the embankment runs at this place not at the place of the roadway.
