Site?In this village was once a palace-like roman villa. From this one had a beautiful view to the lake Geneva.

The mansion was 25 to 50 meters broad and at least 100 meters long. In front of the southwest facade was a porticus. At both ends were corner projections.

By the southeast corner was as basement, which was 1.6 meter deep and 6.5 to 6.5 meters large.

Column? In case of excavations between 1980 and 1982 were found among other things pieces of pottery, a column with a basis of marble and a relief of a mother goddess from sandstone.

Neither the date of building, nor when the villa was given up, is known.

The local map near the post office mentions the hill Montasset as the site of the villa. The book "The Roman in Switzerland" mentions necessity excavations and as site the field "Montassé". Therefore the villa can have been approximately at the coordinates 534 250/156 350.
