Saturday, 03.05.2003 - Rueti near Bueren, Berne
A roman farm must have been on the
present Buchsifeld.
Anyway 1750 and 1800 various mosaic floors were dug up here. In 1819 a column of lime was found. The farm was obviously not examined until today more exactly.
In the early 19th century a water pipe was discovered in the eastern part of Rueti. A channel of 170 cm length, with a 12 cm deep and 14 cm broad conduit was given to the Historical Museum Berne.
The Buchsifeld is at the coordinates 598 300/222 400.
