From the presumably in the year 260 AD by the Alemannians destroyed place today only still few remains are visible.
To the right next to the door a tombstone was
build in into the exterior wall of the church.
During the conversion of the
forecourt of the church
came 1953/54 the public thermal springs to light. These have three rooms: caldarium,
frigidarium and apodyterium with
palaestra. In the latter one a mosaic was discovered.
This mosaic became
preserved in a corner room of the
restaurant "Le Caveau Romain", obviously at the precise place of finding. At a wall in this
room is a showcase with photographs about the excavations and few find objects (for example
kitchenware). Also two stakes of the roman stone bridge are in that. These were found
with limestone blocks in 1976 at the right Rohne bank. Formerly counter forts of this bridge were filled in already at the left
Rhone bank.
The restaurant is obvious not anymore in operation. The mosaic can be looked however through two panes of glass.
