Augusta Raurica is one of the three colony cities' in Switzerland (other places: Aventicum and Iulia Equestris). Even first-mentioned shows not so many remains. I visit the place therefore once again. |

Except for a trade house, that is on the area of the contemporary Kaiseraugst, all visible buildings are on the area of the contemporary Augst. The remains in Kaiseraugst come from the later Castrum Rauracense.

From the basilica not a lot is to be seen. From the curia and in particular the storeroom being under that however already more. |

In the proximity of the forum the hypocaust of a triclinium was reconstructed. |

The theater and the Schoenbuehl temple formed a structural unit. Instead of the temple a temple district with gallic roman temples existed formerly. A taberna was before the theater. |

A temple whose purpose could not be interpreted until today is in the Grienmatt. |

From the amphitheater the relief arches of the entrance ramps, the arena, some seat steps and a carcer are to be seen. |

Outside of the place a water pipe was preserved. |

Instead of the central thermal springs a house existed before. The basement can be visited today. Furthermore the sewer of the thermal springs is accessible. |

In the museum an exhibition exists about the routine life in the roman empire. The annex is a reconstruction experiment of a roman house. |
