Movie about Vindonissa |

| In the first place Vindonissa is known because of his legion camp. This also because the most today visible comes from that. |
|
From the legion camp parts of the camp wall are today remained. These were preserved at the beginning this century. What is unfortunately to make out on the preserving kind. The masonry was covered over to the part with tar. Furthermore the question to what extent the building substance is original sets itself up. From the filling material something is to be seen only near the west gate and to the part near the amphitheater.
| The Buehltower was an angle tower of the camp wall. |

The north gate was not used often. It was used for the movement of products with boats on the below the plateau sited Aare. |

The towers of the west gate show a more-angular form. They were used presumably for representation points. |
Outside of the legion camp other buildings are even to be seen. These served also the camp.
| These thermal springs appertained either to the mansio before the camp or to the vicus around the camp. |

| This water pipe supplied the camp and the vicus. It works still today. |

Brugg
The fort Altenburg in Brugg was built just before AD 370 as the smallest of the three river forts at the Aare.
| Some wall traces are used in present buildings. |
