The rut shown (and also the second rut which is not shown here) shows a dislocation which cannot be mastered (or worn out) by a cart without manual help. Was the dislocation made to get rid of bad ghosts when a cart was moved in a rite, since bad ghost can only move in straight lines ? (Malta). See also footnote 2.
