| Seneca und Kaiser Nero |
(German: Title means "Seneca and emperor Nero")
In the first place the book is with the dense Lucius Annaeus Seneca.
The today known work is dealt with as well as the philosophical basic view of Seneca.
Contrary to the title only a smaller part is with his relationship to emperor Nero. His influence is dealt with however in the training and in the first government years of the emperor.
The book is particularly interesting, to make a picture about Seneca. The emperors of the julianic-claudic house are described however in the usual manner (except for Augustus) as rather arbitrary and tyrannical. In this point no new findings can be gained.
