This book describes the buildings at the limis in Germania superior (upper Germania) and Raetia.
It is described the history of the modern investigation. The origin history, the final look of the limes and the different buildings are also described.
The main part of the book describes however the individual fortresses, watch towers, vici and other buildings. It is described furthermore where the today still visible traces are.
This book is a question good survey of the limes and an excellent guide of the today visible buildings.
